A little nervous about posting poems here, but enjoy.

" My Mirrored Man "

When I saw you in that picture,
Not how I'd see you today.
Made me wonder about that man
Who looked at me that way.

That man is not the same
As I saw him in the past.
The mask that he now wears
Covers the smile that I saw last.

Now I look into his face,
And see his sense of pride,
It is then that I realize that
something in me died.

He is now a mirrored man,
A reflection, not real.
But something in his face
Hides the pain that I now feel.

But when I think in awe
At his joy that shines past through,
He is mine, my mirrored man.
That he knows is true.

And another nice little short poem I found.
Strangely enough, I wrote this in a car, lol.

Tinted windows
So none can see
The things that happen
To none but me

Tinted windows
To block the light
A shade in the day
But nothing at night

Tinted windows
To keep all away
All day and night
Never to stray.

I have a few books with a colaboration of the best poets and there poems. I will tell you this. HONESTLEY.
There is some damn good writing in this forum. I love this artist's corner. I have read more heart felt and talented work in this Forum than those books.

My mirrored man hit me. Hit me hard. It can apply to both genders.

It is good you keep a journal. I wish I had the conviction to write in mine.

The little boy cries.

He folds his hands neatly,

The world turned so slowly
For me on that day
When all seemed worthless,
The path far away.

His smile turned on me,
Like sunshine in fall.
Nothing more I want,
Nothing at all.

A frail hand in mine
Ahead lies the long dirt road
Together we'll ease the load.
With nothing behind us but
the sunshine in fall.
