Calling out Photographers...
I was thinking today, for a little bit of fun, would anyone be interested in a monthly competition, nothing too serious, no prizes just each month we set a theme, decided by the previous months winner and all submit photo's in a thread. Then at the end of the month open a poll and have people vote on which one they prefer, and offer some constructive critique. Then the winner decides the next theme for the month, and so it continues.
Always up for an excuse to get out the camera, and sure I'm not the only on. If I set this up would there be much interest in this?
So by example I would set the first theme, buildings for example. People then all submit their pictures to the thread, doesn't have to be new ones it can be old ones they've taken. At the end of this month, I open a poll and people vote, the winner decides the next one.

Sure, I'll join in. I don't have a high-powered camera (but I do have a tripod now), but once in a while it takes a decent shot

Hey most people can take good shots with normal digital cameras.
Actually, we still have a couple of weeks so will update now and create a new topic for March photo of the month competition

Just for clarification, does it need to have been taken in the month of the competition? I'm assuming so, but just want to be sure.
Will there be a category for edited and unedited photos or will they be lumped together.
One entry per person?

I'm interested in how much editing is allowed, as well. I'm assuming the less the better, of course, but two categories is a good idea methinks!
