a photoshoot with a friend. this was an assignment in photo class. we had to project images onto our models in interesting ways. i didn't use this when i handed in the final project but i still love it.

yesterday was pride '09!
it was absolutely amazing. my mom's first time and my second, but i stayed a lot longer this year. :)

after the parade goes in a half circle around the 'gay village' in Vancouver, everyone heads down to English bay for merch, food, entertainment and general gayness until they head to the gay clubs afterwards. here's me and my mom with our nifty hats on the beach:

nice pictures. i was kind of expecting to see a moose or two though. =(

this is Mama Kitty. she was a stray who followed us when we moved and came to our house pregnant almost 13 years ago. we kept a few of her babies. this cat is amazing; she's incredibly affectionate and loving but also street smart and a great hunter. she would go out everyday and bring back rats, mice, birds and rabbits. she also save my dad's friend from a fire.
