Life IS the Universe and Everything.
Effervescently, I recollected the thoughts of a million lifetimes, incandescent in their enlarged memory. Suddenly it hit me; the realization that in a past life I had been a firefly. My life was instantly and irrevocably changed forever.
In a similar vein, I was absently struck with the amalgamation of a thousand other distinct yet oddly vage realizations. A flood of strange, puzzling but somehow wonderful ideas came pouring through my consciousness, waking me to the astounding fact that at once I was a man and a machine, an insect and a whale, a monster and a worm.
Then I knew.
We are all, in our own individual lives, constantly mistaken by ourselves for something other than what we truly must be: exemplary monuments to ideology, metaphor and yes, life itself.
What I'm trying to say is, bugger it all and just be yourself, because what else can you be? We are all only ourself, but we rarely truly know just what exactly ourself is.
In truth, we are on a journey. Life is but a journey to death, and personally, I want to reach my destination proud of the path I chose to get there. I want to dally in the pools of daydreams, frolic in the streams of thought-provoking conversation, race along the edge of the Cliffs of Insanity.
I want to live.
Let life be interesting, for that is its default setting.
