Thanks guys!
Yeah, I went to a community ed figure drawing class. Their emphasis was primarily on bodily anatomy, pose and rendering. Nothing about faces.
Here's my new sketch of the day: a real life portrait of Milo.

The biggest challenge, by far, was getting that bugger to stay still and look at me. He must be more hyper tonight than, dare I say, since we got him. I made it a little easier by drawing my other cat's body, since she was just sitting there with no intention to move anytime soon. She's the lazy, older one. I added Milo's tail and fur patterns, though.
Next time I'll do a better drawing of Ana (the girl cat).
