      A coupla paintings..

      Some of my latest works.
I've never really showed these to anyone, so I thought it'd be fun to hear some feedback. So lay it on me, even if you think they're shit. =)
They're all acrylics, about 1x1-1,5 meters in size. I always paint with my fingers, never did learn to use brushes properly..

That first one reminds me of Elfen Lied

      I give it a 10/10

Wow, thanks! =) Haven't heard of elfen lied, but it makes me glad to heart someone likes the painting. That one's my favourite as well, and the only one I've kept.

I love these. The second one is especially gorgeous...and I can't believe you paint with your fingers. That's just about the coolest thing ever.

The first one for some reason makes me think of Marilyn Manson

The second one is awesome, I really love it. Dark and surreal.

Thanks! It's strange, I've tried using brushes before but then the paintings never really seem to "come to life" so to say. Not that these are very lively, but still. =)

Love the ship! Can't wait to see more. Are you in art school or anything like that? Or is this just a hobby?

No no, it's just a hobby. =) The ship in the painting belongs to the brother of a friend of mine, my friend ordered it as a birthday present.

I don't, really, but it was a nice challange. =) As you can tell it's quite different from my other paintings.

Here's another one I did some time ago.

And I'm an animal lover through and through, animals are probably my favorite thing to draw...any more animal paintings? The teeth on that wolf are pretty sweet. Do you take requests?

I like animals too, probably a lot more than I like people.. =)
I've painted a couple of cats and a few portraits of the pet rats I used to have, but apart from that not much else in the way of animals.
I'm a bit self concious about painting (as I am with pretty much everything else!), so if I don't immediatly feel that the picture I've been working on is at least okay when it's done, it goes directly in the bin. Therefore I don't keep that many of my paintings, and I almost never photograph them..

Well, I might. What kind of animal are we talking about here? =D

Damn...I'm exactly the same way. I know quite a few artists who are generally like this actually. I only show my drawings/paintings to my closest friends, and only when they beg, lol, because I never think they're really good enough to show anyone or I'm just not happy or satisfied with how it turned out. I can't even tell you how many paintings or drawings I have that are only half finished or like 80% done and will never ever be finished heh.

I think animals > people. That's why I want to be a wildlife veterinarian. I'm really getting into wildlife photography actually as well. Less stressful than painting...and I prefer to be in the bushes stalking prey for that right moment.

I just recently got a pretty sweet camera as a gift, and since I really enjoy watching wildlife (especially birds) I've been thinking of bringing it with me on one of my walks and see if I'll catch anything. As I sometimes find myself just sitting and watching birds for an hour or more, it shouldn't be too hard to get at least one good shot! =)

Bird watching is great...I mean I know it sounds nerdy and I never thought I would be into it...but we have about 6 bird feeders in the back of our house and the deck of my bedroom is just about ten feet away from them...so I sit on my balcony with my camera and snap pics every now and then. You should really consider getting a bird feeder if you don't have one, I'm always amazed at the amount and variety of birds we get. I even downloaded this nice app for my iphone which identifies all the birds in our area and even does the different bird calls. One time I was dive bombed by two cardinals who apparently did not like the cardinal calls coming from my phone lol. Also I've had chickadees, gold finches, and lots of different wood peckers come right up to me when I play the different calls. It's pretty awesome.

I live in an apartment without even a balcony, so sadly there's noplace I could put a feeder..
Almost everyday on my way to work (at least in the winter) I bring some bread for the birds in a park I pass through, though. I've been late for work waaay too many times from forgetting the time when feeding those guys.
Wow, the cell phones of today! I'm not that down with technology, but I'm pretty sure I can't make my phone do that. I'm having a hard enough time trying to compose a text message.. =D
I don't recognize all of those bird species, but then again I guess the birds are different where you live (wherever that may be) from the ones in sweden. We do have a couple of different kinds of woodpeckers though, and many species of sparrow.

Very nice. I like your simple almost monochromatic color palettes.

I'll proceed to post some more soon, as I'm on somewhat of an "artistic" roll.

Wow, these are absolutely amazing. And I'm really picky with paintings.

      My favorites:

Seriously, I'm blown away. How much do you usually sell these for?

The only one I've sold is the boat (for about 75$). The others I've given away or thrown out. As I wrote in the beginning of the thread, not too many people have seen these before.. =)
