1,000,000 is the Loneliest Number- a poem by LDS
Ok, well, I wrote this poem for English, our poetry portfolio; woo! We had to use this book with 10 suggestions to write our poems on. This idea of using number, symbols, or geometric symbols is what I used. Kinda a different concept for poetry, but this poem quickly came to me. Some of you may have seen it in the world record thread, FYI, but, now it has its own thread.
1,000,000 is the Loneliest Number
Everyone may think 1 is the loneliest number
But not me.
1,000,000 is the loneliest number.
1 can boast a high self esteem,
but not 1,000,000.
1,000,000 has 6 0’s staring him in the face.
The poor 1 in 1,000,000,
For he is the loneliest number.
Plain old 1 only knows itself,
Not that he’s missing a thing.
He has no empty seats.
1,000,000 has 6 empty seats.
1,000,000 doesn’t want to be alone,
He is waiting for 6 more
That will never come.
He lives his time in lonely anxiousness.
Feel sorry for 1,000,000,
Because he wants more.
But 1 likes to be alone,
He hasn’t invited anyone else.
