Nice job with what you have so far what I'd really encourage you to do is try mixing paints/blend tones more, just to give some contrast and perhaps some more visual flow to your paintings. Another thing would be to start being a bit of a perfectionist-- a lot of your paintings have a lot of potential but there's some instances of rushing, and even if you weren't actually rushing it looks like it I'm not saying it's bad, I'm saying that you should try looking for those kinds of things and being critical-- you'll be surprised at the rate you'll improve once you get an eye for little things like that

Really beautiful! Personally, I love your style and don't think you need to do anything to try to change it.

I'm not going to comment on your skill as an artist, but rather the content of your art. And my intention is not to offend in any way (though you may find my intent to be irrelevant).

Your depictions of roses and sullen human figures are rather cliche. Moody teenage girls who include such items in their artwork are a dime a dozen (where I come from at least; I've never been to Canada). If your sole purpose is self-expression, then your art serves that purpose fine, pretty much regardless of what you actually create.

But if you're wishing to become a serious artist, you may wish to find out-of-the-box ways to present roses and sullen human figures, or move on to something else entirely, else you might just give the world something it already has plenty of: uncreative, stereotypical drivel (please note that I am not calling your works uncreative, stereotypical drivel)
I fought the decisions that called and lost
my mark as the relevant piece in this
      I will come reformed

So let's keep it constructive so that the world might have more quality, 'inspired, creative, and uncommon' art.

Extrapolate what implications you like, but I did not explicitly say it, so my statement still stands. I don't want to start an argument. I thought my post was constructive. If the mods disagree, I hope they will remove it.

A tip for you, sir, is to perhaps learn to choose words that get your point across without that undertone that the world has enough of already: "This guy's a giant prick!" (please note that I am not actually calling you a giant prick).

That said, I do kind of agree with the point you were trying to make there - however - nearly all artists begin with more iconic or "cliché" imagery while they are learning the skills needed to create what they can see in their mind's eye. No one begins with their masterpiece, and those brave enough to seek critique in a place as cruel and unimaginative as an internet forum will surely find that they have the capacity to develop those skills into something to be very proud of!

My advice to you as an artist, Stefany, is to focus more on planes than edges. An exercise I learned that helps with this is to draw a string (a line) wrapped repeatedly around an object left to right and top to bottom (so it would make a grid if the object were flat, but the lines will follow the contour of the shape you are drawing). This helps you to visualize what you are drawing in a 3d space, and any aid to visualizing what's in your mind makes it that much easier to get it on paper!

Keep it up, learn from your mistakes, and don't let anyone put you down!

What happens next is the product of what is happening now, and how you choose to react.

Thanks for the pointers, but i'm not a serious artist, and i never plan much for a painting i just let it work itself. Most of those paintings are from when i was younger but because of that they are some of my favorites. I draw more then i paint so this is new to me.
I have no goal to be a serious artists because then art becomes work and it is a hobby to me and that is why i love it.

Pay no attention to the criticism Stefany. Apparently everyone thinks they're an art critic these days. Would love to see more of your work in future.

Well, I wouldn't IGNORE it, but don't take it personal by any means. Perhaps have it cross your mind that you have the power to influence these opinions in people with your art I think that's kind of a neat idea.

Nevertheless don't let people stand in the way of your personal growth of creativity.

This is bad advice. You should definitely listen to the good criticism if you want to improve.

Will take that advice in the future. Though I don't know how successful I'll be as I really was trying my best to be inoffensive.

You pointed out my crassness, but you lightened to mood by making a joke about my delivery. Nothing offensive about that.

It's just about being slip down the middle with two sides to every person. One we show the world and one no one sees. the butterfly's, flowers and dotted lines are events that shape each side of us. no matter how big or small they all shape our lives.

Yeah I thought that was pretty awesome. I love the brush strokes on that one too...lots of movement.
