Thread: Just the Wind

This one I wrote more as an exercise with each line gaining an extra syllable over the line before it starting with one.


Please
Don't leave
Just stay here
What would I do
I'm lost without you
I guess I'll just pretend

I see you all of the time
But sadly just in my minds eye
You are the faintly whispering wind
The soft breeze that no container can hold
My fingers touch the tenderness of your love
Only to slip on by with a soft whimpering
The sound that comes from my heart as it now falls apart
Because it realizes you will always be just the wind
