I don't know 50-65 per cent done I don't like the way Cane's stitches look, I hate his face, but I'm pretty happy with how Uriah's looking actually. I realize they don't have pecs, I just thought their ribcages looked so pretty so I left them that way. any critique VERY VERY VERY MUCH appreciated. also the shrooms glow in blacklight c:

I think all the hands look shitty :( but especially his. I'm thinking about adjusting a couple things a little and then giving up. I've already worked on Cane's hands a little and I think when I put the gray in it sort of distracts you from how crap they look. (hopefully) and I should work on his shorts, his junk is too low :[ ne way I guess they are supposed to be wolves, or at least resemble them. I don't really worry about sticking to species, I don't like realism. I also don't like to ramble, but since you asked... Cane is actually a completely fictional creature, that is, he isn't simply an anthropomorphized animal. he basically resembles a wolf, but if you look at his ears: (link) they have a unique shape that haven't seen on any animal. he also has butterfly wings that he can tear off, and they grow back (they are pretty mangled in that picture...obviously). they are made of some kind of thin, paper-y candy; his blood is a thin liquid chocolate and his organs are chocolate too, I'm thinking they'd feel like slippery pudding skin (or something). he eats these things sometimes. but it all heals/regrows pretty fast. oh, he also lives in a candyland, so maybe all that makes more sense. :c

I think the stitches there look like shit though, I took them off. he doesn't really need stitches anywhere else since he heals so fast (except for the opening down his torso which stays fresh) and I don't want to do alot of stitches anyway because that was kindof a trend in the "furry" (I prefer anthro) community I was in I did give him a lot of bruises though, which is so hard with acrylic (more accustomed to watercolor).

The crease at the elbow on the right one's right arm does not fit the angle of the upper arm/hand. The forearm line that separates it from the upper arm shouldn't be there at that angle.

oh help! working on another painting: I know his hand is all wrong, I just scrawled it on there. I'm more worried about the outfit (or anything else that looks wrong). detail: I dunno why I'm so worried about this one, Marvin (on his right) looks way worse. but I'm horrible with drawing clothes and different outfits, most of the time I just draw everyone in t-shirts & jeans or skirts :\ anyway all comments/questions/and especially critique welcome and appreciated! :o

The left lapel/flap doesn't really extend far enough under the right to actually be buttoned; the way you have it now, the left side ends before it actually reaches where the buttons are, when it should actually be extending (although covered up) to the row of buttons on right (his right). Also, the topmost button looks out of place; looks more like a nipple It probably should be under the lapel (not visible), since the buttons on p-coats are all inline with each other. The rest looks good. He is missing a cuff on his right arm, but thats probably not a mistake; just isn't finished. The collar could stand to be bigger, but that might be a style preference. It looks like you may have had it bigger and then erased it, but now it looks like it narrows off unnaturally.

I was up all night painting that, worked on it something like 9 hours straight. still have a lot to do. I know the legs are fucked, I kinda knew that when I started painting on them. I couldn't figure out exactly how they should look, and didn't try very hard, because I don't really care. I like anatomy to look a little twisted/odd in some cases. but it would be nice to know just why they look so off? I know it's obvious, but I just....can;t....think oh and look at the HUGE MESS I MADE PAINTING IT: I waste.....so much paint. I'm such a noob with acrylics. and the paints I use are cheap and suck...I try to get a little and half the bottle squirts out. and I don't plan very well. OH! almost the whole things glows in blacklight! this is my first blacklight painting though, and I don't really know what I'm doing, so it's tough :\ thanks again guys. :D

The thing you have to notice about Oscar Wilde's painting is that the coat is barely hanging closed by one button, so it makes sense that it doesn't look like it overlaps enough.

Ahh! Amsterdam acrylics! Lol! Yes, that's the cheap stuff. I think you're being too critical of your artwork. Just remember the actual mediums you use to paint make a huge difference. That brand of acrylics you're using are cheap because they don't have a lot of pigment. If you love color, you might want to invest in better quality acrylics. But, they're still good to get your hands dirty and learn about acrylics anyways. Also, what are you painting on? Is that a canvas board? You're art is really graphic. And most canvas boards have this rougher texture to it, it might take away from your finer lines and details. And, are those plastic bin lids? GOOD! The best kinds of palettes really I love the colors of the last one you posted. Odd anatomy is always a bonus! If anything it just looks like he's going to topple over since its not a very balanced pose. I dont know if its a sin to change his character design, but a tail would give him the balance he needs since he has smaller feet. And I love the face of the one in the suit! He looks so happy, lol! No complaints about the suit actually, looking forward to seeing it finished

It looks like you put a lot more into the background thank you did the character, as if actual light were pouring forth from beyond the nebulous clouds. The blacklight images have something more to offer too. The ribs stand out there, but the arms go very dark. Maybe there's a clear paint that glows under blacklight that can be applied.
