Ask me about Luxembourg

Well as you may have noticed it (or not) I'm a native Luxembourger. You now probably think: "Where the hell is that?":shock:. A lot of people doesn't know where it is or what it looks like. That's why I wanted to show a bit my home-country. Feel free to ask me what you wanted to know about Luxembourg and his people, social systems, etc.

In the unlikely event of an alien invasion, how prepared do you think your country's defenses would be?

Serious question.

I think we will be pretty fucked up :P Luxembourg just has an small army on professional basis, no planes, not much tanks, Luxembourg has no nuclear weapons, no marine (Luxembourg has no access to the sea. I hope that answered your question;)

I remember doing a school report on Luxembourg, when I was in elementary or middle school(I forget, its been a while). I forget if I picked it, or was assigned it, though I do remember I was interested in it, for the very reason that it was a small country no one knew much about.

Yeah that's great that you did learned at least something about Luxembourg. I sometimes have the feeling that we are a bit forgotten by everyone, even our border countries (Belgium, France, Germany) don't know much about us. For instance, I talked last year with a Frenchman from Paris and he didn't even knew that Luxembourg exists :(

What's the food like? :D

Let's begin with an Luxembourgian proverb to get a little idea of food compared to the border countries:

The Frenchman likes to eat good.
The German likes to eat much.
The Luxembourger likes to eat much and good :cheeky:

Luxembourgian dishes are tasty and
There several specific dishes you don't get sou easy in other countries:
1. Kuddel Fleck: It's trip cut in little pieces, in tomato sauce and with vegetables like carrots and paprika, alternatively with pickles. It's very tasty and one of my favourite food.
2. Kachkéis: Luxembourgish version of Cancoillote. It's running cheese and usually eaten on an open piece of bread and if you like it more spicy, you can put mustard on it.
3. Judd mat Gaardebounen : It's swine meet from the neck with cooked broad beans.
4. Bouneschlupp: Green bean soup with potatoes, bacon and onions. Perfect food when it's cold outside :cheeky:
5. Treipen: Luxembourguian cooked blood sausage. It's spicy and usually served with cooked potatoes and apple sauce.

Luxembourg has also good beer :cheers:and excellent red, white and blush wine. The grapes are cultivated in the west on the river called Mousel (Moselle)

I don't have a freaking idea. :) I never met one in Luxembourg. And if they really exist here, they wouldn't show up, because.... well they are ninjas and want to be undercover :ninja:

I don't understand your question. If you wanted to know if I go for a walk in Luxembourg, I definitely say yes ;)
If you wanted to know if I walked from one side to the other over my country, the answer is no. Luxembourg is small, but not so small that you easily go from one side to the other.
