There are too many to know, any chemical compound can be classified as an antibiotic if it inhibits the growth or function of bacteria. Some work in humans some don't, but will work in other animals. Generally if you are allergic to an antibiotic such as amoxocyllin, you will also be allergic to its sister compounds such as penicillin. Simply notify your doctor of your allergy and they will know what is best; also perhaps mentioning it to your pharmacist before picking up your meds. |
