So I just asked myself what the things are, that make life worthy (except Lucid Dreaming of course ;D) |
|
"We are what we think. Everything, what we are, is created by our thoughts. With our thoughts we form the world." -Buddha
"Not the human who has everything is happy, but the one who needs the least. The one who is happy with nothing, possesses everything." -Diogenes
"When in the body of a donkey, enjoy the taste of grass." -Tibetan Saying

Worth living, I'd assume. I know you're the ultimate language man but I also know deep down in your heart of hearts, you knew what he meant. |

I came to this thread seeing Philo had posted last and I was really hoping he had posted what makes his life worthy, but alas I was disappointed. |

The sensible part of me knows you're talking about cigarettes when you say "fag" but the immature part of me can't help but grin. |

They say dreaming is dead, no one does it anymore.
It's not dead it's just that it's been forgotten, removed from our language.
Nobody teaches it so nobody knows it exists.
The dreamer is banished to obscurity.
Well, I'm trying to change all that, and I hope you are too.
By dreaming, every day.
A wise man once said, "A life unexamined is not worth living." and shortly thereafter his was taken from him. Another once said that "The First shall be Last." longevity was not written on his lifeline either. Myself, I see a connection between the two statements. Perception determines conception conception determines will. The connection is in another metaphor, a beast with seven eyes and seven horns. The metaphor means, seven ways to perceive and seven ways to protect our life. That is man, why hell, that is me. They all point to a simple biological fact of any environmental acquisition system of a living organism. We must acquire something in the environment, process that which we have acquired for a product that maintains and promotes our life. |
