Thread: Tell me about the things that make your life worthy

I think I'll like this thread (if it gets bigger).

- Drinking a pina colada while watching the sun inch towards the oceanic horizon.
- Making it to the top of the hill, then speed on your bicycle to the bottom.
- Seeing someone you love smile.

Worth living, I'd assume. I know you're the ultimate language man but I also know deep down in your heart of hearts, you knew what he meant.

● Those wallflower moments when you're standing on the sidelines, watching a dear friend make other people laugh, admiring their physical expressions and sort of reminiscing on memories between the two of you.

I came to this thread seeing Philo had posted last and I was really hoping he had posted what makes his life worthy, but alas I was disappointed.
For me I'd have to say the day that I did (back to back, not all at once) DMT, shrooms, molly, and finally finished with 3 hits of the most intense acid I've ever had, while smoking weed the entire time of course. Then sitting around a bonfire, observing people all on different drugs interacting, listening to music off in the distance, and watching (hallucinated)bubbles spew from the top of the bonfire. Man, I really need to go to another music festival.

Pealing off the protective covering off of new items

The smell and look of freshly cut grass

Thunderstorms

The smell of rain

Gazing out into the night sky on a summer night (Cliche ftw)

The unquenchable thirst for knowledge. Walks in the forest. Fleeting moments of pseudo-enlightenment. Bike rides in the middle of the night. Connecting with another human being. The Smiths.

• Going into the freezer to check if there's any popsicles or freezies left, expecting grape, and then finding orange. It's stuff like that that makes summer worth waiting for. =D

- Snowboarding

A wise man once said, "A life unexamined is not worth living." and shortly thereafter his was taken from him. Another once said that "The First shall be Last." longevity was not written on his lifeline either. Myself, I see a connection between the two statements. Perception determines conception conception determines will. The connection is in another metaphor, a beast with seven eyes and seven horns. The metaphor means, seven ways to perceive and seven ways to protect our life. That is man, why hell, that is me. They all point to a simple biological fact of any environmental acquisition system of a living organism. We must acquire something in the environment, process that which we have acquired for a product that maintains and promotes our life.
Me, I just wanted to get married, have and raise a family, and do the best I could while exploring this reality. The metaphor means that there is not just one thing that makes US worthy to live, but some vague notion that there is a whole . . . . any moron can finish this statement.
However, what makes life not worthy of living, of course, is when something very important is missing from it. For me was was the first part, for you see, a mate, a wife, is one of the first parts, it never really happened. So, life just sucks for a lot of people, because what they need in their environement--that first thing, is something they will never have. Often it is because of us, for we are the first thing for others, and what we do to oursleves we will certainly do to others. So, what it all boils down to, is what makes life worth living, is if we ever take the time to open our own eyes.
