tell me about hair care

I'm wondering a few things but any general info is welcome. First what's the point of different types of hairbrushes? Is it just because of how they feel or can the be used to get different effects? Also how often should you wash your hair? I used to everday but I notice now that if I do it less often it looks better, less frizzy.

well, taking too many showers can rid your hair of natural oils... I have a problem with showers, i take them a lot. I do have oily hair though, and it is pretty much required for me to shower before going in public, ergo, I take a shower every morning I have school. I like feeling clean....I've had two showers today, 1 because I went out, 2 because I played around outside with my nephew a bit ago and felt dirty
