      Ask me about flying/airplanes

I make this thread like once a year to try and catch any aviation enthusiasts passing by at the time...

I know a lot about airplanes; how they fly, different types, their history, etc.

I've been flying planes since I was 16 years old. Right now I work as an aerobatic flight instructor (although I just got my normal instructor rating renewed). I'm also a volunteer at a local vintage airplane organization that maintains and flies about a dozen WW2 era airplanes.

Although I'm a relative newb, I've still done lots of cool flying over the years. Some memorable moments include flying through the Grand Canyon, being upside down 10 feet above the runway at 200 mph and shitting my pants because I lost the keys to the plane while at some backwater airport in the middle of nowhere.

Got questions about aviation? Ask away!

      A newb you say?

Lol, what were you flying at the time? I used to be really into aviation, I was constantly on MS Flight Simulator and IL2 Sturmovik, and I still know a little about it.

I once broke the tail of a small RC helicopter . I've never seriously broken a real plane.

In a few decades I'll be able to be one of those grumpy old men that can say "son I've been flying since before you could walk!" to any passer-by, but for now I'm still a newb .

I was flying in a Pitts Special S2B, which is what I do all of my advanced aerobatics in right now.
