Goodness, this thread's been out here for a long time. I was hoping there'd be more posts here so I didn't seem like such a lone wolf. :p I didn't see a tunnel of light, per se, but this is definitely the closest to death I've ever been. I hope you don't dissaprove of me posting this here.
Yes, I have been very close to death. We live on a cattle farm. Once when I was maybe ten or so we needed to load up cows into a trailer to take them into town to sell. We rounded the cows into a corral. My father was on the tractor with a big trailer hitched to it. He said as backing it up to the chute we would herd the cows through. I was in the chute, making hand motions and telling him how close the back of the trailer was to the end of the chute. It got about a foot away from the chute, and I motioned to him that it was at a good distance and that he should stop. He did. Since I was no longer needed to direct, I decided to get out of the chute, so I slipped between the trailer and the chute. Suddenly, my father, who didn't know I was there, started backing up the trailer again, pinning my head between the trailer and the metal frame of the chute. It actually didn't really hurt, but I could hear my skull cracking from inside my head. If my grandfather hadn't been there watching and yelled at my dad to stop, my head would have been crushed. Another quarter of an inch would have killed me.
They pulled the trailer away, and helped me into the truck. My vision became yellow-tinted. I had blood running down my shirt. I asked if I would have to go to the doctor and they said no. I've never mentioned this to any medical professional, and to this day I have no idea of I sustained any lasting damage. I did, however, receive a bald spot on the left side of my head where I was pinned. I still have the scars.
Hope that wasn't too long winded. :p I just saw this thead and thought I'd post. YAAAAAAAAAYY!!!!!!!! I'M ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! XD XD XD
