Pretty self explanatory I think...
I should add though that I don't mean it in the way of what is the site about I already know that! :laughtillhurts::lol: I mean the history of the site, who made it, why\how did they make etc.

This is information I have gathered through the grapevine, so older members may have to correct me here.
I believe Dream Views was created by icedawg as a school project in 2003.
It really took off, as you can tell! :D
He's no longer active but his spirit lives on. :meditate:
Long dream, icedawg!
That about sums it up dreamer!
I wish I had a screencap of how it looked back then. We had waaaay fewer subforums, and a funny little embedded chat that one member was able to hack into and create falling snowflakes in it one Christmas. It was small and cute and quaint, and now it's busy and cluttered and crazy. I love it now ever as much as I did then
You can check it out at various stages through the Wayback Machine!

Holy shit!! I found my old opera resume site haha Lisa Forstmann, soprano
How did I not know about this time machine
edit: Ok, here's what it looked like 8 months before I joined. I still remember many of those users: http://web.archive.org/web/200311190...ews.com/forum/
And a couple months after I joined (so many of those threads are still active!!!) http://web.archive.org/web/200409011...713eb5b8a58a65
"Raven-haired beauty" - I like that! :)
I was actually on the archive site earlier today doing the nerdiest thing ever... I wanted to see if I was ever online at the same time as members I know now who I didn't know then. :P I've had myself set to invisible for most of my time on DV though, so I didn't show up much.
It's also interesting to see the changing username colours as people get promoted. :)
Ahhh, nostalgia.
Nostalgia indeed
Awww, I'm sad now that I wasn't part of this forum 'back in the day' - sounded very fun! Not that it still isn't ;D
