I've always had aspirations of having my own business. I have some money saved for all the start up costs and I'm more than okay with working long hours.

The thing I'm scared about is that I'm extremely shy around people. I could probably greet customers and hire employees but my networking skills are abysmal so I'd be scared that I wouldn't be able to market very effectively or find mentors to help me out.

I'm also painfully insecure so I always doubt that I'd be able to do it. Why would someone crappy like me succeed at a challenging venture like owing a business? That holds me back almost worst than my social anxiety.

I'd love some personal stories of people with social anxiety who managed their own business ventures. Thanks.
