I liked this idea (a la Howie and taltho) so: Ask me, basically, anything (preferably about myself, because that's easy) and I'll answer to the best of my ability. :cooler:

What's your favorite color?
are you a figment of my imagination?
Hey, blue's my favorite too--at the ends of the spectrum mostly, like green-blue and blue-violet.
OK, here's what I really want to know: How'd you get so good at lucid dreaming?:D
Maybe that's not fair--but what would you say is the most important thing that you do that helps you?
So desperate, I know! As time goes on, I realize it is experience that matters, but I still want a short-cut.
OK, how about this: getting hot down there yet? You taunted us with the beautiful weather last winter...just waiting for payback time!:rolllaugh:
Do you like Ahser? JK - Thought I would put you in betwen a rock and a hard place. ;)
In all seriousness.
What do you feel is the best exercise to improve you dexterity on the guitar?
I can only, really, answer that with the question "Are you a figment of my imagination??
In other words: I may very well be but, based on the evidence I have now, I'm going to have to say no.
Honestly.....I got lucky. :chuckle:
I was one of those kids that was always plagued by nightmares. I mean always. (and I still have them, pretty often, which is obvious)
Pretty soon, I realized that, even though they were scary as shit, nightmares were just nightmares/dreams. After a while, I got tired of 'escaping' from my nightmares, by waking myself up from them, and decided to fight back. With learning that I could defeat my 'nightmare creatures' by putting my conscious mind to it, I learned that I could perform conscious actions (like flying and creating weapons) even if I wasn't having a nightmare and perform them whenever I realized I was just dreaming. I ended up learning that I could induce 'conscious dreams' by sleeping on my back, and that was the beginning of my lucid dreaming exploration. I'd sleep on my back (sometimes with one knee elevated, which I came to discover was a variation of the "one hand in the air" method advocated by LaBerge) to induce these "really cool dreams, in which I knew I was dreaming", and started experimenting with them, through middle school.
So, really, I can only chalk it up to experience. Kinda sucks that I can't offer you a quicker way to learn how I do what I do..I was just lucky enough to get an early start on experimenting with it.
Oh...and as far as the weather....
Yeah...It's hot down here...
....so hot that our "fire-season" has started a month or so early.
All we have around Central Florida now are brush fires. Step outside, and it's like you are walking into an enclosed BBQ pit - nothing but smoke because there are brush fires a few miles away. Really....It's bad, and we need some rain to put these fires out. :(
First question:
Honestly? Yes, I like Asher. I have no reason not to like him. I do feel a little apprehensive in that I feel that his main dedication to DV might be to increase his field for advertisement, but I'm giving him the benefit of doubt. So far, I've seen him be pretty active in the community and he seems to give off a very likeable (sp) persona. Maybe I'm naive, but he doesn't give off the "Fuck you guys, I'm in it for the money" vibe, so I'll at least stick with him until I feel that from him.
Second:
Learn the barre chords for each key; learn to improvise your way through a scale in each key, in at least two octaves (which is as far as I've gone, now) and learn as many songs by pros as you can take in. It gets you to recognize the patterns that the pros use, and opens up the different ways that you can distort those patterns to make original work.
That is fascinating. I figured it was just a matter of practice. You got an early start and had talent, a good combination. Also the writing skills to share it with other people.
Sorry about joking about the weather! I didn't know it was getting so bad down there.
No problem about the weather thing. Heh. It sucks, but hey...what're ya gonna do, right?
And I'm just glad I found this community of lucid dreamers, after such a long time of having only myself to relate to, when it came to LD's. It really sucks coming up through the years, having these amazing experiences as a kid and people just giving me the :wtf: eyes, when I'd try to talk about it. Lol.
What do you do for work? I know you hobbies and all that, do you make money from your art and/or music? That would be a really cool way to make money.
I'm a claims assistant, at an insurance firm. ..It pays the bills.
I don't plan on staying with it, forever, though. I just need something to bring in the income, as I try to refine some of my arts. I understand how hard it can be to make a stable living out of being an artist/musician, without the proper direction/connections/tenacity so, until I find a real cash-cow, (though I really don't want to go commercial, with my music) I'm going to keep a 9-5, while I get better at the things that are, now, hobbies.
I'm also a little over halfway through an at-home course in medical transcription. I've slacked off on it, since I started playing the guitar again, but am getting back the drive to pick it up again, and finish up with the course. That way, I can set my own hours and make good money, from home, at any time, while I continue to work on music and art.
Aside from the desk job, though, I'm starting to meet more people that are serious about their own musical talents (one of which owns a studio, and we may start recording there, soon, which will be tight), so my ultimate goal is to do something with that.
As far as the art, I do a little freelance work, here and there, but haven't really devoted my time into making a lot of money for it, yet. (So many hobbies, so little time. :chuckle:) I just made a nice chunk of change for a graphic design that I did for my insurance company, though, and I hear they may have a position for a full-time graphic designer opening up, soon. I'm definitely going to try for that.
Say... I just got my first ticket today (speeding ticket)... how screwed am I in terms of insurance rate going up? Just curious...
 Tic toc tic toc tic toc?????????????????
Why can I NOT DELETE THIS F%&#*&^%ING POST?
I did not see your reply.
Thanks

Probably....maybe.....I dunno yet. Haha.
And I've never had a confirmed shared dream, but I know that my best friend and I (when I was like 7) used to compare our dream content, and would have the sort of similarities that would have young'ins believing that they were having shared dreams but, looking back on it, it was probably just our imaginations.
I'd love to experiment more with the possibility of shared dreaming, though, (though I remain skeptical) if I could develop the discipline to stick with any one experiment, for more than a few days. LOL.
Has Cierra has any lucid dreams? I know you talk about that with her.
Do you/have you used narcotics?
Tough one!

Damn, sorry to leave you hanging. I saw your post when I wasn't able to reply, and forgot all about it, after that. :P
But no, as far as I know, she hasn't had a lucid dream yet. She's gotten a little more interested in telling me her dreams, but I haven't heard of any of them being lucid, so far. She's still kind of skeptical about the whole dream control thing, and has a hard time believing that I can do some of the things I tell her I can do, in dreams, but it seems like she's interested, so I think it's only a matter of time.

I've done my fair share of experimenting, in the past, (I've tried weed, coke, acid, xtc,) but now, it's just a bit of bud-smoking, and alcohol. That's enough for me (and maybe the occasional xtc pill, but very seldomly).
