Any questions?
Okay.
Is it hard?
Explain the swords, Sabre, eppe , and foil.
I used to fence foil many years ago. It was a lot of fun, but tons of work as well. A great workout!
Yup, it's pretty hard. I'm always soaked through with sweat after practice. Also, it takes a tole on my knees. But it's great exercise.

Alright, about the swords.
Sabre, the least common sword is very common to the calvary sword of the same name. The sabre is a cutting weapon, where most actions are made with the edge (which of course is dull) of the blade. In Sabre fencing, the whole upper body, excluding hands, is target.
Eppe and foil are poking weapons, where you must score touches using the tip of the balde. Foil has the smallest target, only the torso, and eppe has the largest target, the entire body.
Sabre is the fastest weapon, with most actions happening in a matter of seconds, whereas eppe and foil are slower. Sabre involves much movement and speed.
Foil involves very precise, controlled movements, because any touch that doesn't land on a valid target area halts the action, which must begin again.
Eppe, though the whole body is target, is also a very controlled game. Because, the one who hits first, not necessarily the attacker gets the point. So even though the whole body is target, eppe becomes a constantly changing game of cat and mouse.
Hope that answers your questions. It's fun to seem act knowledgeable from time to time. ;)
I can answer questions too... I've fought foil for a while.
Unfortunately, where I live it's not popular, so the teacher often leaves because not enough people show up :(
There's actually three clubs, all primarily saber, in my area. But the club I go to is a little small, so sometimes there's only one other kid besides me there.
