Thread: Tell me about your thoughts on body hair

What worries me is the etc part...

Etc is mostly chest hair. I'm talking about the things people would see if you like...put on some swim trunks and went to the public pool.

Yeah well I personally wouldn't be attracted to a guy who shaves his chest and legs and stuff. I don't think it's as manly. Don't get me wrong tho, thats very different from a man not having hair there naturally. Plus it's just SO much work.. and then if you dont shave it daily, it gets very scratchy as the hair starts to grow back. Bad bad bad.

Ok i got a question for teh girls: which is worse,

A)1"-2" long hair on almost all areas of body
B) shaved body

ALL areas? Em?? Okay ask something more realistic.

Okay, personally, me being a straight, normal guy, I think there is no need for a guy to shave his body hair. I do know that wrestlers and the like sometimes shave body hair, to emphasize musculature. However, your average guy has no need.


Plus, it's really just silly, in my not-so humble opinion.

Not being a hairy guy I don't have this problem lol. I'm pretty much as smooth as a babies bottom on my chest/back.

But I think excessive hair is something some guys are conscious about, like a hairy back or something. I just think it looks daft when It grows back, so would say leave it as it is.

But hey, if you want to shave your chest, or back, or arm pits or any other bodily hair, go for it....

I have not a single hair on my chest or back... a product of advanced evolution I like to think.

I shave only my face, but everything else should at least remain "tidy."

lol a had quite a trash going but i just shaved it off to see what id look like with my whole face shaved, it doesn't look much different to me really. I would say it makes me look slightly younger though.#

I have very hairy legs though, my cousin is taller and more "manly" with the muscles, so i assumed he would have more, but when we went swimming, i have much more, more then most of my friends bar one. I don't think theres anything wrong with it, and i hate the work of shaving all that off every few days, only problem is girls at sleepovers tend to steal them, and that hurts.

Girls don't have to shave their legs, its just that most do. And I'd rather have to do that then shave my face, I hate having to shave my face.

Yeah. The girls get all the crap... guys can have hair everywhere and no one thinks anything's wrong with it. Makes me sorta jealous. Not that I want to change my gender or anything. LOL! Actually, I think guys generally look better with some hair on their legs/chest etc. (oh gosh, I didn't mean anything dirty by the 'etc.' part of that...).

My ideal is a guy on the smoother side but still unshaven except perhaps for the face. I don't care for super-hairy backs and chests, but no body hair at all on a man creeps me out badly.

I'm lucky in that the only thing I have to shave is my calves. Living where I do, it's strange to see women with leg or underarm hair. But really, there's nothing wrong or unhygenic with this. It's just what you're used to in your culture.

I don't mind men's body hair, really.
Just that exceptionally hairy men gross me out...quite a lot.

As for me, I don't mind the trials of being female and shaving what I need to shave.
I love that just-shaved feeling. When my legs are baby soft I have a habit of petting them though, rofl.
I find it's not just me. My boyfriend likes it and my friends always notice.
Use men's shave gel though...makes you softer than soft.


& just a note on female body hair
I have noticed a lot of girls I know only shave from the knee down and their armpits.
Personally I think that is a little shabby, lol

I'm sort of like a hairless cat. I dunno I just like being smooth all over...I shave everything...arms, legs...etc.

However, I'm NOT a fan of guys shaving their chests. Because that's my favorite place to lay my head, and I really can't stand putting my head there and feeling prickly stubble. Ouch. And I really like curling my fingers through a bit of chest hair, not too much...and I really love the hair line that goes down the stomach. =) Plus...I'm not a fan of baby face clean shaved...I like the little bit of stubble/permanent five o'clock shadow look better. :p

edit: Oh...guys...just DON'T complain that I spend 30-40 minutes in the shower...there is alot of surface area to cover ya know?

Agreed 100%!! I like to be smooth ALL over too. Hence the showers that last ages.

& the happy trail (hair from their belly button down) is extremely sexy, bar none.

I am from the old school, and I am not a fan of the new trend of women shaving the hottest thing they have. Shaved makes women look too much like they haven't gone through puberty. I can't wait until old school p**** makes a comeback. Shaved isn't out of the question, but bush is beautiful. It's the most beautiful thing in the universe.

I don't shave anything but my face and the back of my neck. It will always be that way no matter how much the trends change.
