What's your favorite tourist spot in the continental US?
Are you visiting?
Uhm, new york was pretty badass
The beaches of the Florida panhandle are my favorite. The Rocky Mountain ski resorts in Colorado are awesome, and the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee, particularly in the Gatlinburg area, are great. The mountains of New Mexico are really beautiful. I think the rural areas and small towns of Mississippi and Louisiana are worth checking out too. I also recommend the Amtrak train ride from Seattle to Los Angeles.
I go to gatlinburg every year for easter, that place is sweet. (the cheap holiday inn with the indoor pool and arcade)
Florida keys are great
Here in the florida panhandle if you like fishing and poon tang and clean beaches. (fishing destin, poon tang panama city, clean beaches anywhere) Dont come here to navarre though, boring.
Oh how could I forget vegas...
I love Monterey in California. It's by Pebble beach and 17 mile drive. Gorgeous coastline and beaches and Monterey county is a great place to drive around and explore. The downtown of Monterey is nice also with cobblestone walkways and a fountain before reaching a pier. Also it is right near Cannery Row, a big tourist attraction and the Aquarium.
I was traveling south to LA from British Columbia with a friend and some beautiful girls we met there one night took us in for a couple months. They paid for everything and showed us a great time and even gave me and my buddy a few hundred dollars to travel Monterey county and camp out for a week. The locals call it Hotel California because once you go there you always end up going back.
don't even bother going, you'll be surrounded by american's the whole time. And don't go to these backwater places that they are suggesting.
You want to spread your anti-American prejudice to a tourism thread in the Ask Me forum? Damn, we really mean a lot to you. We must be important or something.
I can't say what places to go in... uh... What's it called? That enormous country above us that we protect? Our sidekick... Uh... You know... our fat little sister.... Oh yeah, Canada. We live right under Canada but don't really hear much about them. You might as well come here because the vast majority of the Canadian population can't seem to stay too far away from our border.

Don't go to Canada either. It's cold, it's where all the American pussies that dodge draft go(and start anti-america stuff), they use the gay metric system(like most places tho),nothing fun to do besides drink piss-tasting beer and say "eh", there's ugly women, everyone is pale besides the blasians(black asians), there's lotsa.........trees and snow, too many fr**ch ppl (bad word), and once again, it's fucking FREEZING. I've been there, I know. Even Wyoming is more fun than Canada, besides 'yalls INTENSE HOCKEY ACTION that you love so much... hockey blows :P
Invade canada! We need your oil bitches!
universal mind looks like you have a redneck sidekick
wow that was well writtenQuote:

What did I miss? Oh yea, nothing.
Btw, I'm a yankee converted into redneck, TY.
Haha, wow Michael, shows you really know a lot about Canada. You too, Universal.
That's because most Americans don't listen to anything other than what's happening to themselves.Quote:

Besides that, I loved Maui. Awesome weather, awesome beaches, awesome people.
Don't sweat it CB, they're just trying to get back at Shark who is kind of a troll (bet he isn't even canadian)... You guys wouldn't go so low as to play along with him, right?
yah Michael, making a list of ignorant stereotypes makes you look very classy and very witty, congrats champ.
nono, I'm not trying to start anything against Canadians. Many are very nice people. Not including shark!.
So it's fun to make fun of canada directing it towards people that are making fun of America. Like you just made fun of America, using a typical false stereotype, right?
Plus, your higher dollar value will help America in the end ;) Because where does your country get all its stuff? AMERICA
And it will hurt your major manufacturers.
And things still cost more up there....
We will win in the end... Until CHINA becomes the next superpower in like 40 years.
Hah, after reading those responses, I felt obliged to reply. Oh, well, you're right.Quote:

Your stereotype was that American's don't listen to anything besides what's happening to them.
Anyways, I dont want to argue with you, because I dont have anything against you. Just forget the Canadian insults, they are directed towards shark!. :)
Notice how we just listed good spots to visit, then notice his comment. Wouldn't you feel the need to defend your country in that case?
Exactly what I did after those replies, so yes. :PQuote:

And Isle of Palms in South carolina comes to mind, maybe myrtl bach too. nice places.
Ive been to too many places in this country...
Yeah, I meant nothing against you, Cold Blooded and Spartiate. Joni Mitchell is my favorite single musician, and I also love Neil Young and all of the Saturday Night Live comedians that came from Canada. I also plan to go to Vancouver next time I take a trip to Seattle. It's just that when somebody tries to hit me with words, I get a kick out of hitting them where I know it will sting and watching them act like bitches about it, and in Shark's case it's making fun of his country because he obviously has something up his ass about countries.
Resume real topic...
I agree. ;)
You know, for some reason I really liked LA. That whole busy metropolis atmosphere always engages me.
Ugh, didn't like LA, even for the short time that I was riding in the car though it.... though "The Price is Right" was flippin' sweet!
Anyway, Oregon's a great destination if you're looking for a place to relax and/or go hiking, climbing, fishing, swimming (lakes, rivers, oceans), and so forth. With as warm as California waters, Oregon beaches are just so, so beautiful! Multnomah Falls is another fun place to stop and walk around... there's not much there besides the falls, but still. There's Crater Lake national park, and then there's... eastern Oregon... you don't have to come here. Really.... unless you want to go to museums about the Oregon Trail or indian history.
I'm with Ame (well, I don't mean I'm physically there with Ame). I had a high school teacher once and she said that she's been all over 48 of the states and Oregon is the most beautiful, except for one spot in Washington.
