My significant other is the most amazing human being/partner/friend. He's all of the things that every girl wishes for in a man. Smart, insanely funny, kind, attentive as hell, loving, doting, just the right amount of nerdiness. Somehow, in one of the hardest, shittiest periods in my life, he has managed to take my misery and turn it into utter bliss. He's the perfect companion. And not because he's my boyfriend and I love him, he actually is THE perfect companion. He's that guy you want by your side for the rest of your life.

Okay, get ready to puke your guts out when you read my mushfest!

I have been with my wife for more than ten years. We met when we were both 18. It was our first night away living in the dorms at the university. When I first saw her I just stopped in my tracks and staired at her! I felt like I had been struck by lightening and had all the air knocked out of me at the same time, except it felt good. She was sweaty and dirty and swearing at her parents. Her hair was all tangled. She had dirt on her face. I had never seen a more beautiful person before in my life. I knew at that first moment that she would be important to me for the rest of my life. I hoped she would be my lover, and not just a friend.

I went to the dance that night solely in the hopes that she would be there and we would get the chance to talk. And she was! I did my best to seduce her; dancing close to her, moving suggestivly, flirting, talking, licking my lips. I was a complete hussy (to use one of my mom's favorite words). We went back to her room and talked until the sun started to come up.

With in a week we were lovers. Within two months she proposed to me. We have never broken up or seperated. Yeah, we've had hard times, who hasn't. But we always work it out, because we love each other and we are best friends.

She can always make me smile. She has an amazing sense of humor, and we think the same things are funny. She is hard working. She is kind. She is loyal. She is so smart! She makes me want to be a better person. She is amazing in bed. Seriously, she could give lessons! She is not afraid to admit when she has made a mistake, or to appologize. I want to get old and wrinkly and decrepid with her. I don't feel ashamed of even my darkest secrets when I am with her. I don't think I could ever get bored of her. I hope we die on the same day.

And yes, I'm a woman too.

We met through match.com, and hit it off instantly. I knew she was my soul-mate when on the first date she mentioned she still had an original Atari system. We totally get each other in a way that is a little scary sometimes. It often feels like its the two of us vs. the world.

But most importantly, I believe what keeps people together is not liking the same things, but rather hating the same things! She and I belong together because the intersection of our most hated things is very large. Simple as that! Oh... plus she likes most of the music I do!

I haven't had an "official" girlfriend since Junior High...and even those relationships were popularity based. After junior high I've had little "flings", but nothing major...god I need to get out more.

I find that hard to believe.

I'm in love with a special and wonderful dude named Will. He takes my breath away. So bascially, ATM, I'm speechless to describe him. All I can do is *swoon*

Well very early days, but she is certainly someone very special, known her for a couple of months, but only really started getting together the past week or so. She is amazing - such enthusiasm for life, great spirit, makes me smile so much, and more importantly I seem to make her happy - So although very early on I am certainly smitten

There's a new girl at work.
