Index finger is slightly longer, but it isn't as crooked at my ring finger. See, all my fingers are crooked since birth. No way to really tell, but I think if my ring finger was straight it would be longer.

Almost exactly the same size. Index finger is maybe half a millimetre bigger. I looked like an idiot for at least 8 seconds examining my hand so minutely... what Daeva's got to say had better be good!
This is interesting.
Hmm...Does that mean that if the daddy keeps sexing the mommy during pregnancy she'll give birth to a math geek?Quote:
Exposure to testosterone in the womb is said to promote development of areas of the brain often associated with spatial and mathematical skills, he said.
Oh, and my ring finger is longer than my index finger by about 3mm.
I have a very good feeling that this is ring finger/index finger length and gender.
In males, the ring finger is longer than the index finger. In females, it's vice versa. :)
Oh and the correlation behind finger length and sat scores I believe was proven incorrect. If not, it's more just saying men are good at math and science, and women at reading and writing.
Or if not that simple, than more testosterone = better math, more estrogen = better reading.
Hmm.
This was taken from another site, a forum particularly so I doubt you should put much if any stock into it. I just found it amusing. (Don't get bent out of shape over this, either. :P)
'...a major determining factor in someones sexuality is the amount of androgen in the womb, gay guys get less, lesbians get more; transversally, straight women get less straight men get more. This is one of many things which contribute to sexuality, however, a quick way to test how much androgen they got is the length of the index and ring finger on their right hand when it's fully outstretched, fingers together, going forward. If the index and ring fingers are about equal than chances are they like guys, if the index is shorter than they like girls.'
ring finger a little bit longer. we did this in school + some other things like this. =P
Well, true or not, at least it's saying I like boys. :P
I saw this on Colbert.
For the record, my ring finger is longer... and my middle finger is visibly bent towards my ring finger. I'm thinking it's because of all my years of music, but who knows?
Well it's true for me at least.
Ring finger longer by almost a centimtre!
Interesting though, coz many may think I seem a bit stereotypically gay in the way I act: over-enthusiastic, artsy etc, so no one would say I'm especially manly.
I do, however, really REALLY like girls, so maybe I didn't get much testosterone but a helluva lot of androgen?
Have kind of a butch physique tho, to add to the confusing mix. :?
Actually, i just looked again...ring finger is definitely longer.
What happens if you like both genders?
I guess it's kinda true though, I prefer women..
Unless it's not true at all, then it doesn't matter what I prefer.
Well, I know it's a true correlation between being a male (longer ring) and being a female (longer index). Thus, as the majority of males like females and vice versa, and comparative finger length is incredibly correlated with (probably has a correlation co. of close to 1, is my guess) being a male or female, then yes, obviously it's pretty well correlated to sexuality.
Left hand: Ring finger is ridiculously longer than the index finger
Right hand: Ring finger is slightly longer
And as for the maths correlation, it's true for our family. I'm much more mathematically orientated compared to my sister, and that shows. My sister is very much language orientated, and that shows also.
However, that also confirms the gender idea that boys are better at maths, girls at english as well as the finger-length gender thing.
I didn't discredit it, I said this wasn't about the SAT thing you posted. I don't appreciate people coming into a thread I create and doing something I specifically asked people not to do anyways. So like I said, go be a douche else where. If you want people to know all about your reputable site, you can make a thread about it.
And I'm hardly bent out of shape. :)
Fact of the matter is you made a thread on hearsay from a forum and got pissed when I posted a link that makes more sense than the reason you made this thread.
