      Favorite fitness activity

Mine is cycling, no contest. I bet I'd like rock-climbing, too, but I've never tried a serious, equipped climb (as opposed to just climbing up a big rock, tree, or building).

I just got a new bike and got back into it, doing a three hour ride to, through and from a nearby forest reservation today. I'm definitely feeling it, compared to when I used to do longer rides every couple of days, but it was awesome.
If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama

I just got a new mountain bike, a little while ago, and I've really been enjoying riding. I have the P90x fitness program, but that shit's intense, and it's been hard for me to keep up with (but I'm still trying!).

As soon as I get back on my feet and get the money to burn, though, I'm going to get back into martial arts, and I'm sure that will be my favorite fitness activity.

My favorite is soccer(football for other countries). It has a ton of exercise in it and is extremely fun to play. I am also good at it so that makes it fun.

Probably tennis or some kind of racket sport, though like exercising I like bike riding alot, running gets tiring really fast, weight lifting is very intense. I always wanted to do more exercise though, but I feel I have better things to concintrate on right now , but when I'm happy with them I am definitly going to work out as much as I can.

I climb. I go to various indoor walls between 2-4 times a week depending on circumstances. It's great because there's no defined "winning" or "losing", only personal achievements. I found it really hard when I first started because climbing uses muscles that aren't required in many other sports, like your biceps, shoulder muscles and forearms. Climbing indoors is very safe and of varying difficulties so it's great to start off with.

I bet I'd like rock-climbing, too, but I've never tried a serious, equipped climb (as opposed to just climbing up a big rock, tree, or building).
Learn the basics on an indoor wall first. Climbing outdoors is utterly different to indoors but to be safe it's better to build up strength indoors then go outdoors. Also you need a load of equipment such as harnesses, nuts, ropes etc. should you not go to a place set up for outdoor activities such as climbing. I'm not really that fond of climbing outdoors because I'm shit-scared of heights.

      Tae Kwon Do.

But is it my favorite fitness activity because it's my only fitness activity, or is it my only fitness activity because it's my favourite?

2-3 hours of raquetball twice a week

Tried martial arts 20 years ago or better, but I did not have the proper mindset at the time. Did not stay with it. Might be different now...

I studied Tai Chi Chuan for about two weeks, and even in that short time I learned a lot about balance, breathing and flow that I still use often, I just have no interest in the 'martial' element.

i'll still contribute. I like basketball and running mostly. I would say soccer, cause i think that's an awesome sport, but i dont play it unfortunately. I'm too busy with other sports to actually get good enough to make the soccer team, so... too bad.

Well, I enjoy biking, and going to the gym. At the gym I split my week up between running and lifting, and racquetball when I can get people to come with me. Biking is probably my favorite thing to do though, bring a frisbee, hackey sack, some food, other entertainment, and biking trips usually turn into an all day thing.

      Body surfing is my favorite.

Right now I just lift. Its boring as hell.

I was hanging out with a bunch of outdoor-sey kids this weekend who made me real jealous. One was talking about hiking the Inca trail by moonlight to get into Machu Pichu. Maybe I need to start hiking more.

      Cycling, definitely.
But I can't find a bike that will work with me.
The only ones are $1500+ and I ain't about to drop the amount of a decent used car on a bicycle.

Swimming's good too, I need stuff with as little impact on my knees as possible, as they're in such bad shape.

My favorite is taekwondo, there no single thing on earth thats more exhausting than sparring, it's the best training for your condition imo. If I can't spar, I do ropeskipping, which is really really exhausting too, two turns, one jump! ^^ Right now I do powertraing, but I'm going back to taekwondo next year.
