I can't believe NOBODY else has anything to say about traveling to a specific destination, but I start a stupid thread about the 3 bikinis I bought and it ends up being three pages long. WTF??

I've been there. And let me tell you, the winters are harsh.... the summers are BRUTAL.... the floor leaks, the roof creaks.... theres a TERRIBLE draft.

I had a holiday booked for my girlfriend as a suprise - she finished with me before I told her about it... Cancelled and never though about going back.

This was a couple of years back!

Thing is I really wanted to go, but at the time thought I should have gone, but like an idiot lost my diposit and didn't go!

I went through the peninsula some years back right after a nasty hurricane had hit. Not a great time to visit.

i've been to Mexico about three times, but not Cancun. but, don't worry you will have a great time. don't listen to any negative comments on here, because they will just get in the way of you having a good time.

I went in the spring. It was amazing!! So much fun. The beaches are so pretty and the water really warm. I even swam with dolphins. And every time I eat chips and salsa I miss the kind they give you in cancun. I just layed on the beach for a week while people brought me drinks.and played around in the ocean of course. We're going on a trip again for spring break this year, and when my parents gave us the choice between Hawaii or Cancun, all my siblings unanimously voted cancun. But of course, it's all opinion... i hate building things up only to have someone not like something as much as I did then feel disappointed. But I bet you wont be.

Oh and a warning, I'm not sure how easily you sunburn, but I never ever sunburn... so I put sunscreen on in the morning like I normally do and forgot about it. Not a good idea. I burned the first day. After that I put on sunscreen every hour and stayed in the shade as much as possible but the damage was done, and the burn didn't heal until a few days after I got home. I felt like a shedding snake my back was peeling so bad and i think I have scars, because some spots of my skin are still off-colored. It was the worst sunburn I've ever had. Just so you know. but the trip was still awesome.

what resort are you staying at? I stayed at the omni... it was super nice.

I have been to Mexico City, and many of it's suburbs twice, and a border town once. I forgot the name of the border town though. I enjoyed all three trips a lot! And it's true that the floors creak.
