It basically will fire two beams of protons into each other and microseconds after they collide this super awesome camera will snap a picture to try to find what they call the "Higgs Bosom" which is supposedly a pattern that the particles formed directly after the big bang.
Essentially they're recreating the big bang.
That's so cool.
Yup, pretty much. A lot of people think it will create worm wholes that will devour the earth. And the truth is: IT WILL!!!! but not as big as you think, maybe microscopic and they will only last less than a second. So no worries.Quote:

They are not trying to recreate the big bang. They are trying to raise a few protons to the same temperatures that they were at during the big bang. Huge difference.Quote:
