So today in the mail I got a letter from people to people ambassador programs, saying i was one of there final choices from the area I live in, in Texas. Basicaly if I'm chosen I get to spend about a month of next summer studying in a diffrent country. |

Yeah I would love to do it. I'm just worried about how i could afford it, my mom already has to work a lot, so I don't want to stress her out. I'm still in high-school so I wouldn't be able to get a full time job to pay for it. |

I suggest you look at the prices. Studying abroad is definitely an incredible opportunity, in fact I think everyone should live in a different country for an extended period of time if they can because it takes you out of your culture and shows you the world from a completely different point of view. However, those programs are kind of a rip-off. If you're in high-school that's probably the best you'll get but if you're in college then look up a school independetly and apply, and check with your school to make sure you can transfer credit. |

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.
Not in College still in high-school. There's a meeting in October, so I'll go & check on prices & all that stuff. |
