Well, what genre are you looking for? (I think there's also a thread about this in the Entertainment Forum buried somewhere... not too deep, though.)
The Outsider, not The Outsiders. People confuse the two, they're nothing alike. It's a short read, with a very complex theme that's fun to try and decipher, and a lot of well hidden symbolism.
The Time of the Doves is a decent novel as well, I feel like it has a really deep meaning behind it, but I'm still trying to find it.
The First Stone, if you can find it, is a really good book, about this kid who basically has lead a rather careless life, running the streets getting high and drunk, having his life drastically changed with the toss of a single stone. Really good book, I definitely recommend it.
That's all that comes to mind right now....
Then there were none...
That's a good book.
Dune
On the Road, Jack Kerouac. Best book I've ever read hands down. Simply beautiful. It's fiction based on actual events that occurred while Jack was hitch-hiking around the country in the 40-50s maybe.
State of Fear by Michael Crichton is another really good book. It's alittle more recent too. It's about global warming and politics, but it's action packed.
If you like Sci-fi you could try Revelation
I do, thanks ninja...
I think you'll like that one.
I read the info..I am ordering it...!
My library orders books for free for people so they can take them out...
I have a very long list now.
Lots of people at my school are getting into some Twilight Series.
I think it's about some girl and vampire.
Yes it is..read em all...
Need more..
The Crucible is a great, short read. Animal Farm.... Hmm, The Sailor Who Fell From Grace with the Sea.
Thank you..:P
A Clockwork Orange.
Read that..I loved it and the movie.
Just started reading it yesterday, have yet to see the movie.
the Nausea (you may search under plain "nausea" as well. Originally I think it was in French.
To be honest it is the only book I have ever read that I actaully enjoyed...and sadly I never even finished it. I had to return it to the library but never rechecked it out.
The Man In The High Castle by Philip K Dick
The Third Policeman by Flann O'Brien
Thank you all.
The Count of Monte Cristo (unabridged).
Read that NAO.
