It's been several years now since my computer geek days, but hostname might be a possibility. I used to run a M.U.D. back in the day (yeah.......) and I would regularly ban by hostname rather than IP address as they were somewhat less susceptible to change.

Also, it seems highly possible, even likely, that it is the user software itself which is responsible for the unique identification.

      Just my two cents.

It is almost certainly done by Windows Registry alterations brought about by the client-end software. That's how most of the free trial software I've seen usually works.

During the installation process I could see what the installer was doing. It was changing a file called system32, which is probably so important your computer can't live without it.
      Current projects:
      -Acquire the Aurora
      -Test galatamine, huperzine and choline
-Find smartwatch app for RC reminders at certain intervals
-Ressurect my dream log here, and become more active

The thing was just registring itself into the system, all programs do this during installation, or atleast most of them. What you can do is press Start > Run > regedit > search registry for data that relates to the software you installed, then delete the data. This is however risky business if you have no idea what the hell you are doing, and you sound like such a person. I suggest you just do it illegally, but instead of doing it the shitty way like you're trying to now, you do it the right way. I can say no more.

Most people have a static IP as far as I know.

      You could try Tor:
      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tor_(anonymity_network)

Id recommend trying one of the following:

      http://archetwist.com/en/opera/operator
      http://portabletor.sourceforge.net/
      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XeroBank_Browser

In some cases servers pick up that you're coming from a Tor server, in which case you can flush the network to get a different server.

You can also try the many webproxies available such as anonymouse, searching google for "myspace proxy" should get you plenty.

You may have problems now that you've installed software from the site, theres many ways round that however if it comes to it.

      Good Luck.
