      Australia! ClouD lives there.
      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australia
Australia has six states and two major mainland territories. There are also lesser territories that are under the administration of the federal government.
The Commonwealth of Australia is a constitutional democracy based on a federal division of powers. The form of government used in Australia is a constitutional monarchy with a parliamentary system of government. Queen Elizabeth II is the Queen of Australia, a role that is distinct from her position as monarch of the other Commonwealth realms.

It really depends on what aspect of Australia you're looking for. Your question even with your specifications are a bit vague. I lived in Australia for a short while, and as far as the far eastern portions of the country, it's not so different from America. Even most of the same fast food chains. Jobs? Jobs are typically the same everywhere. There are always certain things that need to be done, and people do them.

Cost of living- again, this is very vague. That's like asking the cost of living in the US.. it is completely different depending on what part of the country you live in. Australian money is not (or at least wasn't) worth as much as the American dollar, although with the American economy the way it is, they might be the same.

Western Australia is the Australia you typically see in movies. Very large Kangaroos, red earth, desert-ish and more Aboriginal influence (although you can find all sorts of Aboriginee creations and artworks all over the country, just about anywhere.) Sidney is a very touristy area, typical sight-seeing sorts of things, the opera house, the ferry rides, etc. I guess that's about all the info I have..

There are jelly fish in the northern beaches less than a centimeter big that will kill you.

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.
