I've only ever been to Animazement, which occurs here in Raleigh every May. But from my experience with that, I'll answer your questions.

Depending on the size of the convention, you'll probably find everything that you're looking for AND some.

The vast majority of the people who've I've met at Animazement are fantastic. There are the occasional douche bags there, but as with everything else there's bound to be a few of them.

That depends con to con. More than likely the con you're planning on attending will have a website, and from there you can purchase your pass.

I'd suggest going with friends if it's your first time at the con. Plus, going with friends is always more fun.

This all depends on the size of the con. Chances are there will be a few names there, but don't get your hopes up for anyone huge.

Woah Catbus woah, I went to Animazement last year. Wooaaaaah. I'm in some of the pictures on the facebook group actually. I might go again this year, you should go and we can laugh at all the losers on DV. Anyway I also sometimes go to these things so I can answer your questions too I suppose.

These type of things attract a certain group, but you would probably like these kinds of people. Anyway it's pretty fun, and you can absolutely make friends very easily. Just go up and talk to someone whether you're in the art gallery or during some event or in the game rooms or anything really. But yeah, like Cbus said, it's much more fun with friends that you came with. Don't worry about it though mayne, just go anyway even if you're not going with anyone.

At Az there's a rave at the end of the night. I think most conventions have something like this. Had to go with my ex last time, but sometimes there's some hot girls there surprisingly. I went as myself though so girls were naturally attracted to me.

I actually plan to go to a festival near where I live. It'll be my first time, so I need to find some friends to go with.

I think it's going to be pretty cool if I can go. They have 3 voice actors from Full Metal Alchemist showing up, so I must see them! (Vic Mignogna - Edward Elric, Colleen Clinkbeard - Rose Thomas and Riza Hawkeye, and Travis Willingham - Colonel Roy Mustang)

It'll cost $40 to get in. I also have to find a cheap hotel and I'm going to need a lot of extra cash to buy stuff with. I'm really afraid money is going to keep me from going

Well, I'll definitely be there this year.

I have another question to ask XD Can you buy food there or do you have to eat at McDonolds or Pizza Hut before you go?

More than likely you'll have to get it somewhere else.

Yeah last year the food there was awful. I went to McDonalds a lot, because it was close and I'm at an anime convention so I might as well eat the food that is typically associated with anime.
