Alright, so I've held off on Post-Secondary education for quite some time for a myriad of reasons. I'm gearing up and getting ready to get back on educational tracks, but coming to the realization that a lot of people I saw go off to school still really have no idea what they're doing. That is a situation I do not want to be in.

Firstly, I'm looking for information regarding the Canadian Post-Secondary Academic system. The types degrees and their levels, what they mean, how long each is, general cost. etc. The information may be further influenced by the paragraphs below.

My primary goal is going to be high level politics. So 3 areas I want to focus on are Political Science, Business, and Law as these will be strong assets in a political career choice.

However, my ambitions are to have a background in science and actually go into politics as a scientist; mainly in the fields of Astronomy, Astrophysics, Astrobiology, Planetary Science and Cosmology.

Though, I will still want a background in the Legal matters and Business aspect, as realistically a lot of politics is policy and administration., my main decision making process in any political endeavor is to be geared, primarily, towards Astro-Science.

That said, who can offer some opinions on how I should approach my Post-Secondary education? There's a lot involved in Post-Secondary degrees that I would like to know about. What should I go into first? What courses should I take? What kind of Degrees should I go for in these fields? How long will I be in school and what will it cost me?

Any other information as well greatly appreciated!
