The closest I've come so far! - Hyponopompic RC
So last night as I was coming out of a sleep cycle I performed a reality check spontaneously in the hypnopompic state. I wasn't fully dreaming, but not awake either. My consciousness had some sort of rudimentary visual and kinesthetic component (I could kind of "see," "move," and "touch," but not really - hard to explain) Anyhow, I did the nose-pinch RC and it failed (I could breath despite the convincing sensation that my mouth was closed and my nose was pinched).
So then I realized that I must be dreaming, but this realization kicked me out of hypnopompia and fully into the waking state. I was awake, but I felt the onset of sleep paralysis, so I tried to focus and intensify the paralysis but I was too excited.
Well this is motivating for sure. Two years ago it took 2 months of practice for me to have a spontaneous LD, and now this has happened after only about 1 month of practice.
Do you guys ever experience things like this?
