All sides seem to work for me, however, lying on my back seems a little more difficult. Whenever I get really relaxed, my throat relaxes and falls backward causing me to snore. This tends to wake me up :(
I've achieved WILDs both on my back and on my right side.
It's harder for me to fall asleep on my back which can be helpful but other times being on my back just keeps me mentally (and physically) wide awake.
I used to sleep on my stomach but I went to an insomnia website and it said its easier to fall asleep on your back...and it was for me. I can't fall asleep anywhere but on my back now.
Falling asleep on sides works, but for forcing a WILD, the back has always been the most reliable.
my back..its a position thats uncomfortable for me to stay awake, but if i do any other side, i fall asleep to fast
I'd have to agree with night owl. I've always felt more comfortable on my side (foetal position, an' all!), but I get too comfy and drift off. However, my mind drifts off as quickly, if not quicker than my body. So I tend to HILD, MILD or WILD on my back, so as to keep my mind up and able to concentrate more. Though, I'd like to be able to do it on my side, as it can get frustrating when my body doesn't relax quick enough!!
I also find, on my back, I'm struggling to find a position (for my hands and feet, mainly) that doesn't irritate the fuck out of me! (ie. my hands on my thighs, chest, stomach, by my side? And my feet sometimes feel squashed by the duvet!)

I can only WILD on my back, though if I stay that way for over an hour with no success I have to roll over if I plan to ever fall asleep.
I haven't had much (read "any") luck with WILD, but I echo these sentiments exactly!Quote:

Athough I have just recently had any luck with WILDS I tend to lie on my back before going to sleep. And therefore it is probably why I tend to be on my back when trying the WILD technique.
