How difficult is the DILD?

I became semi lucid once using the WILD technique, but I didn't really feel it was a strong dream. I'm currently trying to achieve lucidity via DILD. However, I'm not having much success. How many other have achieved lucidity using the DILD technique, and what worked for you? Can you compare the experience with the WILD technique? (example: Are dreams more "shallow" usning the WILD verses the DILD?)

Any thoughts or comments?

WILD is one of the most difficult ways to lucid dream, but most consistant.

DILD is the most basic form of lucid dreaming, which is simply becoming aware while you are dreaming.

Well...i've never WILDed before...
as for DILD,it works well...though DILD dreams have very little logic in them...
Apart from that,it's frustrating cause they come randomly...

I've tried WILDing before, with no sign of success in sight. I've had one DILD, and I feel like I got lucky. I would love to learn how to WILD because, as Rathez said, it's more consistent. If you get good at WILDing, having a WILD would be much easier than attaining lucidity while already dreaming (imo). But then again, I've never had a WILD, so what do I know.

In a WILD you can be more aware than in an average DILD, and they're sometimes more vivid too, but normally you have to really stabilize upon entry. However, with DILD you can have a lucid possibly every night if you practice the proper techniques involved: awareness, dream recall, and reality checking.
