Bad recall or no dreams?
So I got very little sleep last night (probably about three hours) because I had to get up early for an appointment and for whatever reason I just couldn't get comfortable. So today after my appointment I came home and hung out for a little while, then around 10:00 decided I'd take a nap. I hear morning naps are a good time to WILD, and while I didn't try that, I at least figured I might be able to go for a DILD because naps are allegedly more REM-intensive.
About two and a half hours later I don't know what happened. I know I fell asleep for that period of time, and I can remember the slightest splinter of a dream, but I have the distinct feeling that that splinter was all that happened. I've built up a very good recall ability over the past few weeks, so I'm wondering: Did I just not sleep long enough to really dream (or RC, for that matter)? Or do I just have bad recall in this instance? Though my main question is perhaps in regards to how I can tell the difference.

I would say to just listen to your feelings, I find that is the most accurate way to tell if somthing happened.
If you think something happened, it happened
If you think something happened but you have doubts, it didn't
If you really really wanted something to happen, and you have doubts, don't keep thinking about it, you may trick yourself into believing it happened when it didn't.
that's how I recall my dreams anyway.

Nice, lol. You probably just had a bad day. A two hour nap should be loaded with dreams. They usually are for me.
