Succes with MILD?
Hey everybody.
I´m pretty new to the whole LD thing. Started writing a dreamjournal 4 days ago and have been doing som MILD. My question is how succesful this method really is? How comon is it to get LD:s just by doing RC:s and MILD?
Another major problem I have is that I never wake upp after my dreams. When I go to bed I keep telling myself that i will remember and wake upp from my dreams but it doesn´t work. I have tried to set an alarmclock when i will probably have my REM periods, it works some times but not too often. My dream recall has improved though, I now remember 1-2 dreams/ night.

It depends on how long it becomes a instant behaviour like instead of forcing yourself to do a RC it just pops into your head and stuff so that it will become more attomatic.

I find that drinking a glass of water before bed makes me (I dont know about you) wake up at about 3 for a bathroom break

MILD Success
Before I practed WILD enough to actually use it, I used MILD and RC's as my means of gaining LD's. MILD works best when combined with the WBTB method as well. If you're not waking up after your dreams, it may be because you're not getting enough sleep. For example, I used to sleep 7 hours, and I was able to train myself to wake up 2 or 3 times a night to write down my dreams. Now I am much busier and only get 5 or 6 hours of sleep. My alarm does not wake me up during the night, and I usually only wake up once sometime around 3:30 AM before waking up in the morning.
So make sure you getting at least 7 hours of sleep, as it helps you wake up more often to write down dreams.
