Can a Voice just tell you your dreaming?

hey there! whilst i was dreaming, i heard a voice that said "Your dreaming, get away from this story" and i started to wonder off to other places, being now lucid. how common is this?

I was once having a nightmare and in th dream I was trying to call the cops bit it went to my dad and he said that I was dreaming but I argued with him saying it was real.I hung up and the nightmare stated the sane.perfect time for licidity . That dream actually got me back into lucid dreaming not exactly the same thing that happened but close enough hahaha

I have only had one lucid and that was when I heard a voice say "are you dreaming." I then checked my hand and I had long black pointy fingers and then I got scared the dream ended.

Unless you were aware enough in the first place, you'd probably just ignore it or be mildly curious. Lucidity's mostly caused by an increase of awareness. I've been told I'm dreaming by DCs and nothing's happened.

yeah, i guess i was in the right mood. the dream told me to wonder to a different environment and i guess i put 2 and 2 together. idk

Well.... I'm not sure if this can really relate but.. I had a dream in July. I was walking to school with my cousin, Nick. While dreaming, I became somewhat aware and said something like..."Wait. First of all, it's summer. And I don't go to school with you. I don't even live here. Nick, am I dreaming?" as soon as he said no, the awareness faded away ): But I wish what happened to you would happen to me...would help me out a lot =/

Yeah, it's happened to me lots of times, only it's been people, not a non-corporeal voice. Most of the time it's random DCs created at a whim, sometimes it's people I know. One time I even began a dream with my DC/DG (a girl with a white hood and suntanned hidden face - think Xion from Kingdom Hearts in the trailer for 385/2 Days) telling me that the following 3 dreams I was going to chain were going to happen IRL the coming month. (None of them ever did, though... lol)

In one Lucid dream i told all the dcs to in future dreams to tell me i was dreaming, after this dream was over i had a normal dream and sure enougth during this dream a dc informed me i was dreaming, i then became lucid. unfortunatelly this has never happened since.

Once I had a false awakening (which is how all my lucids tend to begin) and a voice in my room said 'Your dreaming', I did an RC and became lucid! So I spose it is a pretty common thing. Though who knows why.
