Combining DILD and MILD.
Okey, so first of, just to see if I got it right. DILD is about doing reality checks during the day so you hope that you will do it in the dream too. Mild is about using a mantra, to tell yourself that you will have a lucid dream, before you fall asleep.
Will trying these two techniques at once be a problem? Or will it just increase the chanses?

I think MILD is doing RCs through the day and maybe mantras and DILD is realising your dream sign in a dream and becoming lucid but I always thought that all of that was a DILD so I was doing that but I found out recently that they are different. But no it wouldn't cause problems or anything that's what I've been doing

Yeah, almost seems stupid to drop out of one of them. Thanks :)

MILD is just a form of DILD if you ask me.
Doing RC's during the day can make your MILD's alot more efficient!
I have some dreamsigns that pop up very often. So what i do is RC to them during the day. And then with my MILD excercises i will say in my mantra that i will RC when i see the dreamsign again, and then i visualise myself RC'ing to it.
You should also try visualising yourself doing that mantra when your falling asleep, it makes it alot more efficient then using a mantra alone!

Will try that. Thanks a bunch!

:D There are 2 categories/types of LD - there's DILD, and WILD.
MILD is inside the first category DILD, because it involves becoming aware inside a dream.
Doing RCs during the day is a way to make you more aware during the day, therefore you're more likely to RC in your dream.
MILD is chanting a mantra and visualising yourself becoming lucid in a dream.
