Another failed WILD turned into a DILD

Yeah so last night I had my second LD. Once again I tried to WILD several times throughout the night with no success. But during the last dream, I decided to RC (nose pinch) and became lucid. And once again I woke up immediately after doing so. :(

This is the same exact process I went through with my first LD, only this time my dream seemed to be much more vivid. When I RC'd it wasn't completely random and it wasn't because I suspected I was in a dream. I did it because I was with a friend who I rarely see. Also I don't think excitement is what woke me up, I didn't really get excited. I think I had simply reached the end of the dream (it was a long one :P).

So could there be a pattern here? Should I keep doing it this way or should I try something a little different? I wonder if I keep doing this that I'll eventually get better at it and start realizing I'm dreaming earlier on.
