yes, RC in real life, this is so you can get a DILD.
Yes you are. Think of it this way, your habits, your behaviors, your personality etc. often transfer into the dream state. If you make RC's habitual, a big part of your life, it should then transfer into the dream state and you will know you are dreaming.
Yes. In my experience, it has helped.
yes you should. what a MILD is, is the ability to carry out future intentions while asleep - that being, remembering to realize that you are dreaming.
if you are having trouble remembering to do things in waking life, then you stand little chance of remembering them while sleeping.
Stephen Laberge has a really nice exercise. in the beginning of the day, set 4 targets. ex. every time i turn of the TV, every time i handle money, " " i hear my phone ring, " " i read something. your goal is to notice the next occurrence of each event, at which time you will do a reality check.
the exercise is designed to be practiced over an entire week. set your self different goals everyday. (Y)
Yep. As Dreamwave explained, it helps you build your prospective memory, and your ability to set your intentions.
Strictly speaking you are not, IMHO. Those who say you are are talking about their understanding of LaBerge's MILD technique but if you read LaBerge's explanation of the technique, he doesn't say anything about doing RC anywhere.
i don't think people should be so quick to name methods, just do what works for you. S LaB dosnt say anything about it but most people now group RC with that technique.
