whenever i try to wild as soon as i feel the tingling of SP my brain goes holy shit im doing it and my heart gets all pumped up. this usually happens twice before i give up for the night. anybody have any advice on keeping my excitement down. :P

Try not smiling, that can help.

Yeah I know what you mean dude, I have this same exact problem. I was actually in SP once for like 10 seconds and I got way to excited. Now every time I feel myself get close, I also feel my heart rate speed up and ruin everything. :? I've been trying to focus only on mental stuff and forget about my physical body, but it's hard.
Just don't try to analyze what's happening. Sit back and enjoy the ride. No use getting excited over it. Just think "Oh look, SP. Whatever." Seriously, it isn't worth getting excited over. Pins and needles, just think about how ridiculous that is to get excited over. Then just sit back and wait. Now, I'm not saying this is easy, but just do your best. Your heart rate shouldn't do anything unless you let it. Just use my advice and it might help.

Next time just try controlling your breathing. Take deep breaths that are slow. Also, with practice, you will soon be able to hold your calm. So dont worry much about it.
Yes, slow deep breaths. Try to learn how to meditate or do self-hypnosis in waking life, that can help a lot with relaxation techniques and staying calm, as I imagine could things like yoga or really whatever. You can learn skills for WILD in waking life, and it's very helpful ^^
When I become aware that I'm entering SP and images starts to appear in my head, I'll unintentionally break away from the images and I'll have a hard time breathing and my heart rate will increase. Sometimes I even find myself holding my breath. The only way I can breathe normally is to move and that's why it's so hard for me to WILD.
