SPLD Method of inducing lucid dreams (still in theory)

Hey everyone,

This method, if found how to be done, should prove to be the most successful method of inducing lucid dreams currently known. It should theoretically give you a lucid dream in every dream you enter, guaranteed.

Ok, what does SPLD stand for? It stands for Subconscious Programming Lucid Dream. Basically, you program your subconscious to let you know that you are in a dream every time you enter a dream. Just like the movie Inception, where the persons subconscious was programmed/trained to fight off the extractors.

Now one thing that needs to be done is actually learning how to do this. Here is a possible method of programming the subconscious.

DC method:


Talk to a DC (dream character), and tell them to let you know that you are dreaming in every single dream.

This is the only method that I know that I see as a potential. I will be working on this, and will try to post an update on this if I get any results.

And please try the DC method next time you go lucid.

It has vast potential, think about it, once you go lucid, program the subconscious and if successful, you are done from your training, simply go to sleep next time and you will be lucid in every single dream (exceptions due exist where in cases you might ignore the DC telling you that it is a dream).

Think of the possibilities if this can be done, you can go a step further and program your subconscious about the length of the dream, the stability of it, etc.

Cool theory. Sounds like it could work, but I'm not so sure about it. The reminder I get, but it sounds as if our consciousnesses are two different people. The length, stability of it also sounds very weird. As when you do become lucid, you do that on your own. If a DC somehow makes the dream longer and more stable, that should be a very good Dreamsign on its own, making one lucid.

Also this requires DC's to work. Anyone up for trying it out? I might give it a try if it seems to be working. But for now, I'll stick to the basic stuff which I know works.

You are not telling the DC to do the work, you are letting the subconscious know through the DC, since the DC is part of your subconscious. And I also believe that if the Subconscious wishes to, it can lengthen dreams, make them more vivid, let you know if you are dreaming, etc.

Theoretically, it is very plausible. I believe that the subconscious can be programmed during state of hypnosis, which the dream state is similar to. There was once a case of hypnosis, where a person was told to sleep at a certain time and start bleeding from his hands, at the time appointed, the person fell asleep and started bleeding from the hands. So subconscious programming can be very helpful and is a very powerful tool.

The only problem is that you have to be able to Lucid Dream another way before being able to do this.

I like the idea. I've just been reading the Robert Waggoner book and it has motivated me to interact more with DCs. To communicate with them as distinct parts of your being instead of trying to control them with expectation. It makes perfect sense to ask for their help to achieve lucidity more frequently and for longer duration. I will try this.

Ah, actually I think there is a technique like this somewhere! Something about using DGs as way to get lucid, I think. Which for Shift at the time was every DC, apparently it didn't work for her, because the DCs wouldn't make sense and couldn't tell her that she was in a dream or something <.<

Hmm, interesting, I have not seen this members method of programming the subconscious, as soon as I get a chance, I will give this method a try and see if it has worked.

If this method is tried and does not work, then I will try to find a different way of programming the subconscious. I will let you guys know of any updates.

Hey i like the idea. I've heard of similar things like talking to DC's and asking them to work together with you/become more lucid. Actually in one of my past lucids my friend was in it and i said to him that we should work together to have more lucids, of course telling my subconscious. In order for this to work i would think you would need to achieve lucidity and dedicate whole dreams to telling Dc's over and over to help you attain lucidity.

You dont necessarily need to tell the DC's over and over. We just need to find a simple way of programming the subconscious, I have noticed that the brain is very similar to a computer, it can be programmed. I have noted that these "programmings" get done while we are at a very sedated state, or relaxed state, like we are in hypnosis. So if a successful method is found, it just needs to be programmed once and it should work everytime you get into a dream state.

This sounds like a great idea, i'm not experienced enough to try this out, but keep it up! It sounds like it has potential!

Ya CALD and LILD are pretty cool,

i wonder if anyones gotten CALD to a repetitive/effective level yet in its existence, probably the creator

I was thinking about this the other day. The next time I become lucid, I will create what I call the "Control Room". It is a room with computers that I will use to control everything. I will program my brain to go to this place every time I dream, and there will be a giant message that says, "YOU ARE DREAMING!". I will post with results.
