It seems that most lucid dream occur (late) in the morning and in the last cycles of REM-stage. Has anyone ever attended a lucid dream almost directly after entering sleep and thus in the first cycle of REM-stage? Also considered its a regular kind of day (not an exhausting kind of sleep.)
Personally I can only recall lucidity around 5:00 AM.
I once went to bed at midnight and woke up at 1 am after having four independant lucids that weren't DEILD's. For most of that hour I would have been in N-REM sleep, but recent reseach in the last few years shows that we do dream In N-REM sleep.
People do dream in N-REM sleep (the first 4 or so hours of sleeping) but are not likely to remember them, but it is possible to get lucid during it (as mcwilliws said, he did). I think I've recalled about one dream in N-REM sleep but it was very long and vivid.
One of the most life affirming LD's I ever had was directly upon entering sleep. I entered it flying and immediately lucid. I soon found myself in, what I term, the tree of life. I have had several since all involving deep relaxation techniques and visual meditation. However , most of my LD's are still WILD and DILD. :shadewink:Quote:
