I imagine stress might be a distraction from thoughts about lucid dreaming, from getting enthusiastic about it and really wanting to have them. Maybe you should try thinking about it a lot, reminding yourself why you want to continue having LDs, find some time to read LD-related articles or watch videos or go on this forum.
I usally have less LDs when school starts. It could be related to not having the time to think about LDs anymore like Dianeva said. Also you might not be getting as much sleep (either due to school schedule or stress or both) and that could decrease your chances of having lucid dreams since you are dreaming less. Keeping up on your dream journal while at school can help if you arn't already. Also trying too hard to lucid or worrying about it probably won't help your chances.
Lucid dreaming looks like it should be the easiest thing in the world to do. We wake up and know how bizarre our dreams are but in our dreams we don't notice. It can be very hard to have lucid dreams. I don't do MILD inductions anymore as they weren't giving me the results I wanted for time invested. I really like the vehram system that has started here in this sub-forum. The author emailed me today and it works exceptionally well for him and on demand. But he has been practicing it. It may be of value to you. I intend to make it of value to me. Hope this helps in some way.
