I have heard of people "rolling" out of SP in the past. The times I have experienced it, I just waited it out and it went into a dream. Have you tried to laying in SP until something happens?

I haven't but i'll look into it. And i do sit it out but then i feel like im 'splitting' and then it freaks me out so I come out of SP.

You shouldnt be able to move during SP whether you want to or not, is this true for you?

I often don't see any imagery, but when I do I just look at it passively and allow it to expand and I then suddenly find myself in a dream. You could try visualising a simple object and after a few weeks practice your visualisation will begin to take on a life of it's own and expand into a dream. Eppy's post about rolling out is an excellent method but there is an enormous amount of contention on this forum about whether this being a lucid dream or an astral projection.

It's best to just keep relaxing into the SP. If a dream doesn't seem to be forming, help the process by visualizing exactly where you want to be in the dream - a beach or a club, for example. Hear the noises and imagine the feeling of the ground under your feet; visualizing can trick your mind into thinking you're already in a dream so it'll complete the picture for you automatically. Don't forget to keep reminding yourself that you're dreaming, though!
If that doesn't work and the sleep paralysis seems to have gotten quieter or isn't there anymore, you can always try imagining yourself rolling out of your physical body. Don't try to physically move (you might still be awake), but imagine the sensation of rolling out of the bed, how the blankets on top of you will move, etc.
