Brainwave Generator and other Artificial Inductions...

Are they benefical?

I mean... isn't it better to get lucid without any artificial help, only by your committment?

I'm using a Brainwave generator right now as I write, and I am concerned about the effects of it in my LD induction and control...

Am I going to be addict and only have LDs with the aid of some external device?

It will improve my abilities by the cost of being dependant of a device?

LaBerge himself invented Nova Dreamer, that is a device that only work if you really get committed with the desire of getting a LD...

This thing is really strange, after I take off the headset I still hearing the humming and all sounds around me sound strange...

I think I won't use this thing...

Any advice welcome!!!

Bwgenerator is perfectly safe (unless of course you are an epileptic/have seizures, and its even rare then, taking any kind of psychotropic substance legal or illegal).

The reason you are still hearing the humming is because of the binaural beat. Quick explanation: 100hz in left ear, 110 in right ear, so your brain makes up the 10hz difference. Your brain is making up the difference, so thats why you still hear it. Nothing to get worried about.

Now I feel like I'm hearing a very very low music in the back...
And it is not interference from anywhere....

It is 53 minutes past.

Should I be in bed with eyes closed or can I do it while doing other things?

Google it, there are some good forums about the software and more information about it, and you can learn alot from the actual website forums too.

Hey Zapp,

I have used BWGen in the past and, as a matter of fact, still have it on my iPod. Have not used it recently, though.

First off, I recommend trying to program your own personal setting. Everyone has different sleep patterns so it's really not a "one size fits all" kind of thing. For me it usually takes me longer than 10 minutes to go to sleep, so I set the first phase of the frequency to last about half an hour (meaning, to go from normal frequency to sleep in 30 minutes). Then from there you drop lower for a while and then back up for a while (bringing your level of consiousness up and down).

I can't remember exactly what my settings were right now, but if you read the tutorial that comes with the program you'll get the idea.

I used it a few times while I went to bed and noticed that it worked as far as making me relax a lot sooner than it would normally take me. Also, had a few times where I actually started to feel like I was getting into that sleep paralysis stage - but I would always get too excited and therefore "wake up" too soon and if you do, you may as well start all over.

About the getting to "involved with exterior helping". I am really all for learning it the hard way, so that even if im on a shipwreck and end up on a lonely island i can induce at will. But since we live in the times we live in and more and more helping accessories is presented i see no problem testing them, and if i do find a thing that works great for me i would stick to it. The goal is to have LD. And with more practice and experience being inside the dream and testing, learning and so on i believe it will be even easier if you decide to put the helping aid away. Then you got so much experience being inside a LD that you will recognize by yourself.
