Broken Trigger: Inability to do things

I've only been fully lucid for extended periods of time maybe 3 or 4 times, so I consider myself a beginner. However, I have a recurring problem that I'm not sure how to fix, or rather to get consistent control over.
Most of the times I go lucid, I am having a dream about utter apocalypse, and the overwhelming absurdity of it all makes me realize that I am actually asleep. But very frequently, I wake up realizing that the dream I was having had all kinds of signals to tell me I was dreaming, and it always comes from an inability to do a very simple task. For example, I always try to write something down, or play an instrument, or punch something into my phone, and can't seem to concentrate long enough to do these things. Sometimes, I am trying to run, but my legs move as if they are submerged in chocolate pudding. In the dream, I always realize that this inability is ridiculous and that I usually have no problem doing these things, but I never make the next mental step until I wake up. Anybody know what the problem/solution might be?

In my past i remember somtimes when i went lucid when the dream was unstable prob getting to exited and i would move slow mo or very heavy feeling showing that i was waking up. I only yesterday had a lucid where i was able to accually stop my dream from collaspsing i felt very weird at first like i was falling out so i ran to a nearby stair case and felt the textures and focused on it while remembering im dreaming the shaking stopped my heart slowed down but was still going very fast. so what i can say is work on dream stablization focus on your sences to keep you in control of your dream dont drift off and pay to much to the dream story line as it can make you unlucid. hope it helps if it didnt make any sence its because im high sorry haha:lol:
