Sunlight Increases Lucidity
Something I learned that I thought I would share with the forum. I quote because it is from the book I am making.
Quote:
Sunlight
Have you waken up in the morning to your alarm then press the snooze button, go back to sleep, wake up and then find that you had a long vivid dream? This is because sunlight increases you chance at obtaining a lucid dream. This has to do with two main chemicals, serotonin and melatonin. Serotonin makes you feel more alert while melatonin tells your body to shut down for sleeps and also makes you more relaxed. Melatonin is also made from serotonin. Serotonin is made when you are exposed to light and melatonin is made from serotonin at night when it is dark. There is also another chemical called cortisol. This is used to wake you up in the morning but you can use this to increase your dream awareness. This chemical depletes throughout the day but then surges back up in the early morning.
So why does this matter?
Know this will help you find a sweet spot for lucid dreams so if you find the right time; it would be the perfect time to WBTB into a DILD. When serotonin and cortisol levels are up, you will be more aware and alert while melatonin as I said is relatively high so it will be easy to get relaxed. This sweet spot is between 4:00-5:30AM but we will just call this the LD sweet spot...
Does that make sense to you guys? Is what I'm saying sound confusing in anyway?
